ABOUT PRODUCTIVITY SOLUTIONS GRANT (PSG)

Looking to kick-start your technology journey but not sure where to start?  PSG supports companies keen on adopting IT solutions and equipment to enhance business processes.

For a start, PSG covers sector-specific solutions including retail, food, logistics, precision engineering, construction, and landscaping industries. Other than sector-specific solutions, PSG also supports adoption of solutions that cut across industries, such as in areas of customer management, data analytics, financial management, and inventory tracking.

Our partner solutions have been pre-approved by the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA). Receive up to 70% funding support (subject to approval of qualifying costs) to make long-term technology investments

ELIGIBILITY

Companies can apply for PSG if the following criteria are met:

  • Registered and operating in Singapore
  • Have a minimum of 30% local shareholding (for selected solutions)
  • Are SMEs (i.e. have an employee headcount of less than 200, OR Company’s Group annual sales turnover of less than S$100 million)
  • Purchase/lease/subscription of the IT solutions or equipment must be used in Singapore

 

APPLICATION

What do you need to prepare:

  1. For IT solutions: Get a quotation from the pre-approved vendor.
    For equipment: Source for the equipment and get a quotation from the vendor
  2. Ensure you have a CorpPass account to submit an application and transact on the Business Grants Portal (BGP)

Retail Sales Index July 2021

Retail sales grew by a marginal 0.2% in July 2021 on a year-on-year basis, smaller than the 26.0% increase recorded in June 2021 as Phase 1 measures were in place in June last year and physical stores closed until 18 June 2020. Physical retail stores were open in July this year and last year. Retail sales value continued to be below pre-COVID levels. Excluding motor vehicles,
retail sales rose 2.0% in July 2021, compared to the 19.2% increase in June 2021. On a seasonally adjusted basis, retail sales rose 0.8% in July 2021 over the previous month. Excluding motor vehicles, seasonally adjusted retail sales increased 2.9% compared to June 2021.

As announced by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) on Monday (30 Aug), the Government has accepted all recommendations by the Tripartite Workgroup on Lower-Wage Workers. The details of the recommendations came after Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong announced the broad outlines at the National Day Rally on Sunday.

Among the new measures: The Government will extend the Progressive Wage Model (PWM) to more sectors in an accelerated timeline, and there will be new progressive wages for certain occupations that cut across sectors. The PWM will be extended to three new sectors – retail (from Sep 1, 2022), food services (from Mar 1, 2023) and waste management (from 2023).
