SRA Retail Reimagined Innovation Challenge (SRRIC) 2022
The Singapore Retailers Association (SRA) announced the winners of the inaugural SRA Retail Reimagined Innovation Challenge (SRRIC) 2022 on Tuesday 12 July. It is the first national level initiative by SRA to encourage tertiary students and recent alumni to ideate and develop solutions that tackle challenges facing the retail industry, with the hope of seeking fresh perspectives and creative ideas to help retailers reimagine retail and develop game-changing solutions for the future.
Over the past few months, 42 teams of 163 students from 11 IHLs participated in the Innovation Challenge to address 10 Problem Statements from our Challenge Partners – BHG Singapore, Commune Lifestyle, EmergencyBiz, Eyesight.sg, FairPrice Group, Pick & Go, Scent by SIX, Singapore Retailers Association, Wing Tai Retail (G2000) and Yue Hwa Chinese Products.
10 teams of 39 students from Singapore Polytechnic, Temasek Polytechnic, Nanyang Technological University, National University of Singapore, Singapore Institute of Management, Singapore Management University and Singapore Institute of Technology advanced to the Finals, and 6 of them are mixed-school teams.
On Challenge Day, the 10 teams presented their innovative solutions to our judges in a bid to win the Top 3 prizes worth over $13,000 and 3 special awards – Most Passionate Team, Most Sustainable Solution and Most Collaborative Effort.
